The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will start June 2011.
The scheme will provide financial support for approved renewable heat and energy technologies - in the form of payments per unit of renewable energy generated or used. Different repayment rates will apply to different technologies, and in some cases to different sizes of implementation.
This represents a huge opportunity to reduce both your carbon footprint (and CRC payments) through use of the technologies, and to financially benefit from the incentives. It may even be possible to profit from use of the technologies and receive back more than the cost of running the technology, with fuel cost being less then the incentive payments. The greater the use of the technology the more you will make.
The key is to identify which technology and what size best suits your organisation and building(s). The impact of RHI may radically change your carbon strategy and capital investments. We can use our experience and skills to help you optimise these decisions, prepare firm financial cases and assist in the implementation.
