We are situated in Puglia, the heel of Italy, 10km from the White City, Ostuni. There are many historic towns and superb beaches, all within half an hour’s drive of the trullo.
The nearest airport is Brindisi which is 25 minutes drive away or Bari is 70 minutes away. Cars can easily be hired from one airport and returned to the other. Alternatively, some people like to drive to or from Rome or Naples to fit in some extra sight-seeing. Rome is about five hours and Naples about four hours drive. Doing it this way it is possible to fit in a visit to the UNESCO Heritage Site at Matera in Basilicata.
Another alternative is to use the train - Ostuni station is on the direct Eurostar line to Rome.
Calais is about 20 hours driving (not allowing for stops) to Ostuni and if you have the time it can be a very pleasant drive whichever route you choose.
Ryanair flies direct to both Bari and Brindisi - their schedule and price varies according to season and demand.
British Airways flies direct from Gatwick to Bari a few times a week in the Spring/Summer.
Al Italia flies from Heathrow via Rome or Milan (their fares are more constant throughout the year and can work out cheaper in the high season).
